The club homepage says AMDC has met since 1963, calls itself the oldest organized metal detecting club in Texas, and says monthly meetings are part of club activities, but it does not print the schedule. The September 2025 newsletter on the same site lists Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4600 Menchaca Rd., second Thursday, 7:00 PM; older newsletters on the site spell the street Manchaca or Menchaca and a 2006 issue says a singles house at 4614 Manchaca next to the church.
